Having multi-season employees is truly magical. After the first year, they develope a deep and nuanced understanding of the work — the tacit knowledge that really makes the farm successful and keeps your produce fresh and high-quality.
Though our crew is committed to the farm’s mission, we risk losing them when they don’t have a steady source of income between late-October and early May.
As the growing season ends, we call on our community to offer winter work to our seasonal crew members. Their financial security during the “off-season” is also an invaluable gift to New Hannah Farm.
What kind of work? Here are a few examples:
